PRODUCT MANAGER - STORAGE & MIGRATION

Sales Department

seeking a Product Manager who can lead the development and integration of server/workstation system products for cloud and data center infrastructure. This is a key product management role focused on server/storage product solutions where communication among remote teams and on-site product leadership for our development teams is critical to develop and enable operations to fulfill roadmap expectation. In addition to developing new top-of-the-line systems, product manager is expected to collaborate with marketing and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products. As a product manager, you will use strong technical and communication skills towards product definition strategy for Supermicro’s core product family including research into vertical-based customer solutions and creation of aggressive go-to market plan. Ultimately, Product Manager will become a core member of the Server Product Management team and engage in technical, product development, marketing, and pre/post-sales support activities. This position will be based out of our headquarter office located in New Jersey.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

  • Develop product roadmap and lead the development and integration of server/workstation system products.

  • Develop and deliver a clear strategy and partner closely with marketing, engineering, and business development to create a complete server solutions.

  • Leverage your strong technical experience to create technical product requirements for cloud infrastructure/data center infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements, industry trends and business requirements.

  • Engage with customers at various levels including senior executives, engineering, and product marketing to convey our capabilities and vision, and understand their challenges and requirements.

  • Escalate critical issues to high level management and vendors for solution as needed.

  • Provide product trainings to Tech Support team, sales teams and customers.

  • Provide 3rd level customer (internal and external) support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in C.S., EE or CE with 5+ years of related work experiences.

  • Demonstrated ability in product marketing and/or product management role, must have managed a number of products from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-life.

  • Preferably hardware engineering background or experience.

  • Strong knowledge with computer architectures

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers to promote, answer questions, and receive feedback

  • Must have a positive presentation and can do attitude

  • Good verbal and written communication skills is a must

SENIOR STORAGE ENGINEER STORAGE ENGINEER - EMC,SAN, NAS, CAS, DAS

Data Storage & Migration Department

 need someone who can performs the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Distributed Storage, Storage Area Network(SAN) and Backup infrastructure, systems and subsystems to support production operations, application development and business continuity/DR recovery technologies. Additionally, maintain hardware and operating system level software configurations for optimal infrastructure performance, currency, and cost efficiency. You will also help support data management, backup, replication and other technologies to ensure stability and efficiency of recovery in the event of a disaster or other event. You will assist with troubleshooting and problem resolution associated with hardware, system software, utilities and subsystems to ensure that the organizations response time goals and systems availability standards are consistently met.


SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires a BA/BS in Computer Science with 5 or more years of prior experience in these specific technical disciplines in mission-critical environments.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of the following technologies; SAN, NAS, DAS, CAS, Unified Storage Architectures, Storage Virtualization, FC, NFS, CIFS, FCoE, and iSCSI. Must possess the aptitude to learn and meet project objectives assigned.

  • Expert-level knowledge and experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise and mid-tier class storage arrays from both EMC and IBM with emphasis on EMC.

  • Expert-level knowledge and experience managing and troubleshooting storage virtualization, EMC VPLEX. Expert-level knowledge and experience managing and troubleshooting Storage Area Network (SAN) specifically Brocade Director Class hardware. Knowledge and experience with backup administration utilizing Tivoli Storage Manager or Avamar. Knowledge and experience with IBM Power Series a plus.

  • Application Support: Experience with operating systems such as Unix (AIX), Linux (Red Hat), Windows and VMware a definite plus.

  • Disaster Recovery Support: Experience planning and conducting Disaster Recovery exercises along with their documentation and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of EMCs Recover Point and SRDF software products preferable.

  • Experience implementing storage solutions for AIX, Linux, Windows and VMware environments

  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise and mid-tier class storage arrays from both EMC and IBM

  • Experience with Brocade FC switches

  • Experience with concepts like dynamic tiering & allocation, deduplication, replication and snapshots

  • Experience with RecoverPoint replication appliances for off-site data replication and disaster recovery

SENIOR STORAGE SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Data Storage & Migration Department

Senior Storage Systems Engineer plans and manages the installation, configuration and tuning of SAN and storage hardware and software. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining partnerships and leveraging market technologies associated with SAN vendors, product enhancements and product roadmap

  • Developing, implementing and overseeing policies and procedures to ensure consistent storage provisioning, uptime, regulatory compliance and data protection

  • Managing and providing current disk/tape storage usage statistics and providing future projected growth estimates
